چکیده
Abstract Background The fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda , is a destructive moth pest. It highly migratory and was first detected in Southeast Asia 2018, rapidly becoming major pest of corn production this region. Monitoring the susceptibility S. populations important for efficient insecticide resistance management. Because high mobility pest, information-sharing levels among neighboring countries required To end, we developed simple standard methods pesticide monitoring to contribute Asian countries. Methods included mass rearing larvae using an artificial diet bioassay by overlay. lethal concentrations 50% 95% mortality (LC 50 LC 95 ) coefficient values were calculated. We tested susceptibilities samples collected from six planting areas Thailand emamectin benzoate, spinetoram, chlorantraniliprole, indoxacarb, chlorfenapyr, lufenuron methods. Results diet-fed higher than those fed leaves, especially early instars. However, more half specimens reared on became pupae. In case three pesticides, 2021 2022 significantly 2019, indicating increasing pesticides. According values, only one area exhibited low lufenuron. Conclusions standardized methodology compare susceptibility. calculated can be used as baseline development several pesticides have increased over years. indicated that (lufenuron). This study offers helpful information selection improved management armyworms Thailand.

Spodoptera frugiperda is a polyphagous insect that causes economic losses to several crops in Brazil and is the major obstacle to corn production. Researches focusing on alternative control, e.g. botanical products are expanding to offer a wide variety of molecules that interfere with different biological parameters of insect pests. Thus, this study tested the hypothesis that clove essential oi...
متن کاملUsing Sex Pheromone Traps in the Decision-Making Process for Pesticide Application against Fall Armyworm (<i>Spodoptera frugiperda</i> [Smith] [Lepidoptera: Noctuidae]) Larvae in Maize
The fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda (Smith) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), is a major pest of maize and frequently demands control measures. The timing of insecticide application is a key factor in determining its efficiency, so an experiment was designed to investigate this. Application of insecticide was based on three criteria: (i) the number of trap-caught moths in a Delta-type trap with a ...
